Privacy policy
Version: 20 September 2026. This page is deliberately short: it sets no cookies and loads no third-party content. Only what is necessary to run the server, to measure reach anonymously and to handle your request is processed.

2. Hosting and server logs
The site runs on a server of Hetzner Online GmbH (Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany) in the Falkenstein data centre, Germany. When you access the site, the web server processes, as technically necessary: IP address, date and time, requested address, status code, transferred data volume, browser identifier and the previously visited page (referrer). These logs serve secure operation and troubleshooting and are deleted automatically after 14 days. Legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure operation). A data processing agreement is in place with Hetzner.
3. Request form and email
If you use the form or write to me by email, I process the details you provide: company, contact person, email address, optionally phone, part type, annual volume, your message and, if attached, the drawing or 3D model. The purpose is handling your request and preparing a quote. Legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures at your request) and, where you enquire on behalf of a company, Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
The form transfers the data encrypted (HTTPS) to the server, which forwards it immediately as an email to my mailbox. Attached files are not stored on the web server. To protect against automated input, the form uses an invisible check field and limits requests per sender address (five in ten minutes); for this the IP address is briefly noted on the server and discarded after ten minutes.
My mailbox is operated by STRATO AG (Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany); the form sends through an outgoing mail server of the same provider. A data processing agreement is in place with STRATO.
4. Handover to the plant
To prepare a quote I hand over technical documents (drawing, material, volume) to the manufacturing group in Türkiye, and only after you have agreed to the handover. I do not pass on your contact details (name, email, phone, company name). If a drawing contains personal data, for example names in the title block, I remove them before the handover or obtain your explicit consent. On request we sign a non-disclosure agreement before anything is handed over.
5. Retention
If no order results, I delete the request, documents and contact details six months after the request is closed. If an order results, I keep the business correspondence for the periods required by German commercial and tax law (six or ten years, section 257 HGB, section 147 AO).
6. Reach measurement with Umami
For statistics and to improve this site I use Umami, a web analytics software.
Provider and hosting: Umami is self-hosted and runs on the same server at Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. The analytics script and the measurement data are served and processed exclusively through rfqs.de. No transfer to third parties and no transfer to third countries takes place.
Categories of data: page visited and referrer, date and time, approximate origin at country and city level, browser, operating system, device type, screen size and language, plus two events (see below). Your IP address is not stored; it is only processed briefly to form an anonymous daily identifier and to derive the region, then discarded.
Events recorded: "anfrage-abgeschickt" when the form is submitted successfully and "anfrage-fehler" when it fails, with the technical error reason. Form content (company, name, email, phone, message, file) is not passed to the statistics.
Cookie-free: Umami sets no cookies and does not recognise you across devices. No cookie banner consent is required for this.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, legitimate interest in a data-minimising statistical analysis of my own site.
Objection: Umami respects your browser's "Do Not Track" setting. If it is active, no data is recorded. You can also block the script with a script or tracking blocker.
6a. No other third-party content
Fonts and all other content are loaded from our own server. No advertising or profiling services are used.
7. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection to processing based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (Art. 21). Please contact the address above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; the competent authority is the State Commissioner for Data Protection of Lower Saxony, Prinzenstraße 5, 30159 Hannover, Germany.
